Debris removal in Whittier
Remodel and yard leftovers carried out by hand and hauled off from homes around Whittier.
For debris removal, Louie works out of Whittier and covers the LA and Orange County cities around it. The job is the leftover pile from a remodel, a cleanup or a yard project, loaded by hand and hauled away from a home or a job site. Call or text (562) 781-9101 about the leftover pile. A debris pile is a mix. Cabinet doors sit on bagged trimmings, with broken fence boards and a few boxes of cleanup trash on top, and Louie takes all of it as one load.
Homeowners call when a bathroom is finished or an old fence is down and the scraps have sat in the side yard too long. Managers call when a unit or a job site needs the mess gone before the next step. When the pile is mostly building material from a big tear-out, Louie's construction debris removal page fits better. When it is nothing but branches and clippings, see yard waste removal. Cut limbs and logs after a trim have their own tree debris removal page. Builders clearing a finished house can see new construction cleanout, and pallets and racking are on warehouse cleanout. Debris removal is for the mixed piles that fall between them.
Whatever goes on the trailer has to come up by hand. That is the line on a debris job. Loose pieces like trim, bagged trimmings and broken boards load fine, and anything that would need a shovel stays put. The whole mixed pile gets one price as a single job. He carries it out from the side yard or the job site, so nothing needs to be moved first.

What a mixed debris pile usually holds
Most debris piles come from a project that just wrapped up. After a kitchen or bath remodel there is old trim, cabinet pieces, scrap lumber and the boxes the new stuff came in. After a garage or side yard cleanup there are bags of trash, a broken shelf and some rotted boards. A weekend in the yard leaves bagged trimmings and a few cut branches stacked by the fence.
Louie takes that kind of mix in one load. A fence repair and a spring cleanup can leave piles that look about the same from the driveway, and he handles them the same way. Loose pieces are fine as long as each one can be picked up and carried. On a job site the same goes for the scrap left behind once the work is done, provided it is loose material and nothing that needs a shovel.
What stays behind on a debris job
A few things never go on Louie's trailer, and remodels and yard projects are where they tend to turn up. Concrete and dirt stay, and so do rock and any pile that would have to be shoveled up. A torn-out patio slab or a heap of soil from a planter bed is not something he loads. Yard piles are the usual place dirt hides, under the branches or at the bottom of a bag of trimmings.
Hazardous materials are refused too. That covers paint, chemicals, fuel and asbestos. Half-empty paint cans from a remodel and a gas can from the garage stay where they are. Plain remodel leftovers around them are still fine to load. If old flooring or ceiling material might hold asbestos, Louie leaves it alone. Tell him what is in the pile when you call, so the price covers only what he can take.
Where Louie takes remodel and yard debris
Where the debris goes depends on what it is. Anything still usable goes to a local donation center first. A cabinet in good shape or an unopened box of hardware has a better use than a hole in the ground.
Leftover pieces fit for recycling get recycled when that is possible. Rotted fence boards, snapped trim and split cabinet backs skip the donation stop. What is left of the mixed pile, the torn bags and the real cleanup trash, goes to the landfill. If a leftover box of tile or a spare door in the pile should go to donation, point it out when Louie arrives.
How Louie clears debris from a house or a job site
Every board and bag goes on by Louie's hand, so there is no need to haul anything out front ahead of time. The pile can be on a back patio, in a garage, at the end of a narrow side yard or up a flight of stairs, and he brings it out from there. Louie walks the pile out one armload at a time. Gates and tight corners are part of the job. Most debris jobs are Louie on his own, and a small crew comes along when the pile is too big for one man.
On a job site, set Louie's hour window with whoever runs the site so the scrap goes out when the area is clear. At a home, text him the address and what is in the pile, such as trim, bags or branches, to get on the schedule. He calls his timing a "24 hour turn around." Call or text (562) 781-9101.
How a debris load gets priced
Debris jobs start at $120. Above the minimum, the price is a single figure for the whole pile, based on the space it fills on the truck. A few bags and a stack of trim cost less than a trailer full of cabinets and boards. Once the load is on, that number does not change.
A debris pile can carry two add-ons, and Louie says so up front if one applies. Scraps from an upstairs bathroom remodel mean +$25 for upstairs. A pile at the back of a long side yard can mean +$50 for a carry over 50 feet. Louie lists no other add-ons, and neither one shows up on the bill after the fact. He takes card, cash and Zelle, and the quote costs nothing. The pricing guide for junk removal in Whittier has more on how a load is priced.
How the price works
Call or text (562) 781-9101. Louie looks at how much room it takes on the truck and gives you one number for the whole job. The number doesn't change once it's loaded. Jobs start at $120. The only add-ons: upstairs +$25, carry over 50 feet +$50. He tells you before he starts. More on how pricing works.
