Estate cleanout in Whittier
Every room cleared and good pieces donated, for families settling a home in Whittier.
Louie Villareal does estate cleanouts in Whittier and the surrounding LA and Orange County cities. Call or text (562) 781-9101 to set it up. He empties the whole house after someone has passed or moved into care, for the family or the executor settling it. That means a lifetime of things in every room, from the bedroom set to the boxes in the hall closet. Usable pieces get set aside for donation, and the house is left ready to sell or rent.
The person calling might be a son or daughter, or the executor handling the estate. Louie answers the phone and sets the price himself. The questions go to the same man who does the loading. He usually works alone and brings a small crew when a house needs more hands. Text works as well as a call if you're handling the estate from out of town. If part of the estate already went into a rented unit, his storage cleanout service handles that part too.
An estate house anywhere from Downey and Norwalk to Fullerton, Brea and La Habra Heights is in his area, and you can see the full list of towns he works in before you call. Nothing has to be boxed or sorted first. Clothes can stay in the dressers and dishes in the cabinets. The house can stay just the way it was left.

What's in a whole-house estate cleanout
An estate cleanout is bigger than a garage or a single room. Every room in the house gets cleared, and most of what's inside was somebody's everyday life. That's the recliner in the den, the dining set, the beds and dressers still full of clothes, and kitchen cabinets stocked with dishes. Often there's a fridge, a washer and dryer, and a spare room nobody has opened in years.
Before Louie starts, the family pulls out what they want to keep. Then he clears the rest, setting usable furniture and household goods aside for donation as he goes. If the backyard has an old shed or a hot tub, he takes those down too, the same as on his shed removal jobs. The point is a house that's empty and ready to list or hand to a renter.
How Louie clears a house room by room
Nothing has to be dragged out to the driveway first. Louie carries each piece out from where it sits, even from a back bedroom or the far end of the garage. The one thing he needs from the family is a clear line between what stays and what goes. Put the keepers in one room he leaves alone, or mark them with tape or a note. Settle the keep pile ahead of time so nothing gets mixed up.
Stairs or a carry over 50 feet can add to the price, so mention either one when you call. On a big house he brings a small crew, and on a smaller place he usually handles it alone. On timing, his own words are "24 hour turn around." A same-day job is sometimes possible, but it's never a promise.
Where an estate's furniture and dishes go
Estate loads tend to hold a lot of good stuff. A solid dresser, a kitchen table, lamps and boxes of dishes can still serve another household. Louie sets those aside as he loads and takes them to a local donation center first. Clothes, linens and small kitchen things in good shape can go to donation too. Anything that can be recycled gets recycled when possible. The rest, like a worn-out mattress or a broken chair, goes to the landfill.
The family doesn't need to sort any of it ahead of time. One thing worth doing before he arrives is pulling papers, photos and anything with a name on it out of the rooms he's clearing. If you're not sure an item can go on a load, check what Louie hauls first.
What an estate cleanout costs
Louie gives one number for the whole house, and it doesn't change once everything is loaded. The number comes from how much room the load takes on the truck. The minimum is $120. His price card puts a quarter load at $200 to $250 and a half load at $400 to $450, and a house with furniture in every room takes more room than a corner of a garage. The quote itself is free.
Two add-ons can come up in an estate. Upstairs is +$25, and a carry over 50 feet is +$50. Those two are the only add-ons Louie lists. He names either one before the work starts, and neither gets added after. Senior and military discounts are offered, so ask when you call. He takes card, cash or Zelle. Call or text (562) 781-9101 for a price on the house.
What Louie leaves behind in an older house
Estates often hold a few things Louie can't haul. Half-used cans of paint, pool chemicals, gas cans for the mower and anything with asbestos are hazardous, and he won't take them. Paint thinner and old cleaning products under the sink fall in the same group. Concrete and dirt stay too, along with any pile that would need to be shoveled up. Let him know about those when you call so the quote matches what's actually going.
He hasn't moved a piano before, so if the estate has one, bring it up early. Everything else in the house is fair game, from the bed frames to the old TV. That way the family knows what still needs a plan before the house goes on the market.
How the price works
Call or text (562) 781-9101. Louie looks at how much room it takes on the truck and gives you one number for the whole job. The number doesn't change once it's loaded. Jobs start at $120. The only add-ons: upstairs +$25, carry over 50 feet +$50. He tells you before he starts. More on how pricing works.
